The Chesterman Beach Anthology

Chesterman Beach is meaningful to many people and Postelsia Press wants to celebrate. We all have different ways to enjoy the beach—walking, surfing, exploring tidal pools, watching shorebirds, yoga at sunrise, parties until dawn. Chesterman Beach may be home or it may be a place you visit every day, every year, perhaps once in a lifetime. We’d love to hear your stories.

 We are accepting submissions of poetry, short fiction and non-fiction (in all genres, including interviews, songs, history, essays, even recipes) for an upcoming anthology. The one thing all submissions must have is a strong connection to Chesterman Beach.

 

Submission Guidelines:

Deadline: December 15, 2010

Maximum length: 2500 words

Manuscript: Please include the page number, your last name and the work’s title on each page. Other than poetry, all manuscripts should be double-spaced in a 12-point font with NO formatting. Please include a cover page with your full name, contact information and the word count of your submission. (We will also consider hand-written submissions as long as they are legible.)

Payment: Contributors will receive one free copy of the anthology and a small remuneration.

We will acknowledge receipt of your submission via email or regular mail. We will review all submissions, but only those authors accepted for inclusion in the anthology will be notified. Although we prefer original submissions, we will consider work that has been previously published.
